Fifty 914s. One barn. A crusher coming Monday.
"You just watched people doing things with their 914s that made you want to get back in the garage. Here's where that feeling comes from."
A few years ago, I got a call about a barn in Washington State. A collector had passed away. Over a thousand cars spread across several properties. In one barn alone, there were fifty 914s. The family wanted them gone. A crusher was scheduled for Monday.
I took my son with a truck and trailer to see if we could find him a project car. But the math didn't work. These weren't project cars anymore. After decades of sitting in a wet environment, most would never run again.
"What should have been a legacy — years of collecting, decades of passion — became a burden the family just wanted gone."
I left that barn, but the barn didn't leave me. What haunted me was the shift. What should have been a legacy became a liability. I'd seen it before — with my own father, with friends in the community.
The experience forced me to look at my own hoards. Years of footage, interviews, how-tos — all on hard drives. None of it released. If "Someday" never comes, what have we actually collected?
This calendar is my first attempt to open that hoard. What follows are stories of owners who chose to unleash the potential of their cars — journeys gathered over time, many experienced firsthand, all shared through a personal lens.
There is more to life than chasing money. Turn the page. Let us show you what real wealth looks like.

The forum where this all started. Twenty-plus years of tribal knowledge, build threads, and community. Paid from our half — not yours.
Parts go NLA. Mentors pass on. The only way to save what this community knows is to document it now — before another barn full of potential gets crushed.
From a twelve-year-old building an electric 914 to veterans sharing decades of knowledge — these stories prove the platform is worth protecting.
Inside every calendar: Exclusive 914 Rubber discount codes throughout the year. Real savings on parts you actually need.
Two Ways to Be Part of This
Whether you buy a calendar or make a direct donation, you're helping preserve the community that keeps these cars — and the people who love them — alive.
You Already Know Why This Matters
You've posted on 914World because your car ran fine at sea level but started cutting out at 4,000 feet. Somebody who'd been through it told you to check the MPS. They were right.
You've driven hours to help a stranger pull an engine because they asked on the forum and you were close enough.
That's not a website. That's twenty years of people showing up for each other. This calendar is twelve of those stories.
"Half of every calendar sold goes directly to keeping 914World.com alive."
The forum. The knowledge. The people who answer at midnight. That's what you're buying.
